Meet Dr. David T. Babington
A Legacy of Care in Chantilly
For Dr. Babington, serving this community is personal. As a Chantilly native and Paul VI High School graduate, he didn’t just join a practice here; he came home. After earning his biology degree from UVA and graduating cum laude from VCU School of Dentistry, he joined his father, Dr. William Babington, in their family practice.
For 13 years, the father-son duo worked side-by-side. When his father retired in 2019, Dr. Babington was honored to take the helm, preserving the warm, “mom-and-pop” feel of the office while introducing the modern technology that patients deserve today. He is proud to be raising his own three children in the same community where he grew up, often seeing patients who have known him since he was a toddler!
The Teacher of Dentistry
As an Invisalign Diamond Provider, he is widely recognized as an expert in clear aligner therapy. He currently serves as a speaker for Align Technology and a faculty member for Molis Coaching, traveling several times a month to teach other dentists how to master complex treatments. His commitment to the highest standards has also earned him a place in the Washingtonian Magazine Top Dentist Hall of Fame.
Off the Clock
Dr. Babington is an athlete at heart, having completed Ironman Triathlons, Spartan races, and even multiple marathons! At home, you’ll find him coaching his kids’ sports teams or playing music with his wife, Jessica, whom he met in the symphony orchestra during college.
Meet Dr. Hee-Chul Chung
Calm, Steady, and Thorough
If you are looking for a dentist who listens more than he speaks, you will love Dr. Chung. Known for his calm demeanor and gentle touch, he has a special talent for helping even the most nervous patients feel completely at ease.
Originally from Iowa City, Dr. Chung earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Iowa before moving to Virginia – drawn in by the charm of our local community. After nine years of practicing general dentistry, he joined Legacy Dentistry, where his care has made him a patient favorite.
Outside the office, Dr. Chung embraces a quiet, active lifestyle. He enjoys exploring Virginia’s hiking trails and unwinding with a good book.

Dr. Chung believes that dentistry is a lifelong study. He is deeply committed to continuing education, regularly attending advanced courses at prestigious institutions like the Dawson Academy and Phelan Dental Seminars to ensure his skills remain at the cutting edge.
Meet Dr. Rebecca Cerva
Rooted in Northern Virginia
As a proud alum of Oakton High School, she isn’t just treating patients, she’s caring for her neighbors! Her journey into dentistry began on the softball fields of Christopher Newport University, where she played varsity while earning her degree in Biology. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery from VCU, but her heart remained in Northern Virginia. She’s thrilled to be back serving the community where she grew up and treating familiar faces.
Leadership and Clinical Excellence
Dr. Cerva brings a history of high achievement to the team. During her time at VCU, she served as President of both the American Student Dental Association (ASDA) and the Student Governance Committee, earning the prestigious ASDA District 4 Outstanding Leader Award.
Today, she applies this dedication to her clinical work. Whether planning a complex cosmetic transformation, utilizing digital dentistry, or performing essential restorative care, she combines technical precision with a gentle, personalized approach for your care.
Life Outside the Office
When she isn’t at the office, Dr. Cerva is busy navigating an exciting new chapter: life as a mom to twin girls (as a twin herself)! In her spare time, she enjoys staying active at the gym, traveling, and trying out new local coffee shops with her husband and daughters.
Meet Dr. June Yi
Precision, Warmth, and a Fresh Perspective
For Dr. Yi, joining this practice is about building a life close to the people who matter most. After growing up in Poquoson, Virginia, he knew Northern Virginia was where he wanted to settle, near loved ones and in a community he truly enjoys, especially for its incredible food scene.
His path to dentistry began with a natural fit. He enjoys working with his hands, pays close attention to detail, and values genuine connection with the people he serves. Dentistry gives him the opportunity to bring skill and problem-solving together while forming meaningful relationships with patients.
A Strong Foundation and a Surgical Focus
Dr. Yi earned his undergraduate degree in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise from Virginia Tech before completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Indiana University School of Dentistry. While he enjoys all aspects of dentistry, surgical procedures have become a special focus. He is currently completing the AAID Maxicourse as he works toward becoming an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
His philosophy centers on prevention, trust, and evidence-based care. His chairside manner feels steady, compassionate, and attentive because he believes dentistry should always focus on the whole person, not just their teeth.
Life Beyond the Office
Outside the practice, you’ll most likely find Dr. Yi on the golf course. He and his wife are also preparing for an exciting new chapter as they welcome their first child, alongside their dog, Louis, who keeps life at home lively and fun.
